Message from the President

 

 

When I was just planning to form this group, isa lang ang iniisip ko: “I want all artists of Batangas to be united.” Hindi sa kadahilanang watak watak ang mga Batangueño artists, kungdi dahil sa kapansin pansin na mabilis ang pagdami ng mga ibat ibang klase ng mga artist sa Batangas. Sa aking pananaw, magiging mas kaaya aya kung may isang organisasyon na mag-rerepresent sa mga Batangueño sa larangan ng sining.

 

I managed to communicate with different artists to form the group. At first, masyadong intimidating. Inanticipate ko na yung mga positive and negative outcomes lalo na sa isang grupong nagsisimula pa lang. Hanggang sa magdecide ako na maglagay ng officers na makakatulong ko sa mga obligasyon para mapalawak ang samahan.

 

Art-Eh! Batangas is the pioneering group of visual artists that was formed in Batangas City last 2011, and still growing. We are always open sa lahat ng klase ng artist. Maging professional ka man o baguhan. Basta ikaw ay Batangueño at Batangueñang artist, pasok ka! But when it comes to rules and guidelines, we are very strict lalo na pagdating sa salitang ‘responsibilidad’. We have sets of rules and guidelines para sa mga members na iniimplement ng bawat isa sa kanilang artworks. Some of these are the correct ethics of an artist.

 

We  always entertain new members din para sa mga gustong makilahok, binibigyan namin sila ng test sa pamamagitan ng pagsagot sa aming mga screening questions. From that, malalaman namin kung sila ay qualified to join the group.

 

Our group is a non profit organization. We are committed to give service to our community hanggang sa makakaya namin. We have some activities which involves community services for the good of the less fortunate. As much as possible we use our talents and skills to help other people, since hindi pa namin kaya ang makapagbigay ng ibang bagay bukod sa aming mga talents.

 

Being part of the group gives every Batangueño artists the opportunity to work, learn and enhance their skills. Parang isang pamilya lang ang turingan namin sa loob ng grupo. Walang lamangan sa isa’t-isa, at hindi pagalingan. Sharing of talents ika nga. As an Art-Eh! Member, you should be proud of your talents, but not arrogant.
