The Man Who NEVER GIVES UP!

He is the “Boss”, the “Idol” and the “Mentor” of other great artists…. a man who can be considered as a true icon in photography for others who were still beginning though he claimed that he still need to learn a lot more in this field.. A humble artist who often answers you with his smiles and jokes…. the one who in spite of his mountain loads of works and deadlines never fail to show his unlimited humors…

On May 1989, an artist was born in the Family of Javier. He is today the man whom we call “Luluboy” whose real name is Louie Frane Javier. “Nagmana ako sa tatay ko”, he told me and followed it immediately by a joke. “Minsan kase, kwento ng tatay ko, pinagdrowing sila ng kalabaw, tapos ipinasa nya lang ay papel na puro guri-guri, nung tinanong ng titser kung nasaan ang kalabaw, sumagot ang tatay, na nakalubog daw sa putik”, and we both loudly laughed at it. I think his humor was genetically inherited in his family beside from being a creative individual. When he was still young, he loved to draw cartoon characters, the one which he saw from television. This was enhanced into drawing mountains and sceneries to building and houses. His talent was more practiced during his high school days when they had their drafting classes. “Magaling ako sa subject na yun” he added on our conversation. This gave him the confidence to join in different poster making contest. “Itim na lapis lamang ang gamit ko noon, yung mataba at my kagat kagat pa” this described the humble life he was nurtured to. But it never became a hindrance for him not to continue and dream a lot bigger and wider. “Di ako nanalo sa contest kase wala akong pangkulay”, he was only using his three colored ballpens to put shades of colors in his art…. and still he never gave up.

Actually he is dreaming to be an architect someday, but since the family is incapable to send him to a university where such course is offered, he still pursue it by studying at Genetic Computer Institute where he is molded for what he is at the moment. He started working at Graphix as a senior graphic designer and photographer. There he became more interested in photography. He worked hard for it until he was able to purchase his first camera; Nikon D60 by the help of her ate who was still working abroad by that time.

At present he is the owner of LOUIE JAVIER PHOTOGRAPHY who has its own way of making its name in the industry of photography. He won many times in Batangas Province Camera Club Monthly Photo Contest with different themes. Many would look at this profession as something small and unstable, yet this became a very big help for his parents to send his younger brother and sisters to school and to sustain their everyday needs as well.

I can say he is one perfect example of a man who never gave up dreaming and making them come true. He might be a picture of one who gone through many ups and downs in life, and yet by the grace of God he can stand still today because of his great determination and never-ending perseverance.
